When will the COVID-19 pandemic end?

Ending of COVID-19 is very difficult to deal with because coronavirus is transmitted very easily from one person to another and it’s incubation period is very long. COVID-19 virus has a long incubation period which means that sick people show symptoms after the incubation period, minimum is from 5 to 6 days and maximum is 14 days. Therefore, it disrupt the whole world.

As to learn to live with coronavirus, there are two ways to achieve immunity which is herd immunity:

– by building natural immunity in a population.
– by administration of vaccines.

Large population may get infected or may naturally develop vaccine. Vaccines naturally developed when person develop antibodies against the coronavirus.

The people who are cured from coronavirus will develop resistance from this covid 19. Thus, the spread of this contagious disease will be stopped and chain will be broken after high proportion of people are immune to this disease.

Now, what is herd immunity?

Herd immunity is defined as protection from disease when a large proportion of a population has become immune to that disease. They become immune either by vaccination or by developing natural antibodies through previous infections. They act as protection for individuals by breaking chain of infection and thus gives protection to those who are not immune.

Example:

When 70% of a population are immune to a virus then 7 out of 10 will encounter to someone who cannot spread the the disease further. Therefore, chances of spread of infection will be reduced….
