In lytic replication life cycle of a virus, the virus injects its genetic material into the host cell. The genetic material then enter the nucleus and inserted into that cell DNA. The cell use its machinery to produce the parts of viruses. Then the parts are assembled and the cell lysed and release more harmful viruses that infect more host cells. In lysogenic replication life cycle of a virus, virus injects it genetic material into the host cell. The genetic material then enters the nucleus and is inserted into that cell DNA. The genetic materials of the virus remains dormant within the genetic material of the host cell. So when host cell divides, daughter cell will have the dormant viral material in it. 1.Unlike in the lysogenic cycle the particles are there in the lytic replication cycle. 2.The bacteria is destroyed or lysed in the lytic cycle, but no lysis in the lysogenic replication cycle. 3.The lysogenic cycle followed by the lytic cycle. Lytic cycle cannot be followed by the lysogenic cycle. 4.Propenyphage is the result in the lytic cycle, but not in the lysogenic cycle.
