how can scaffolds and adaptions modulate signaling responses if they have no intrinsic enzymatic activity?
Replied by Admin
Scaffold proteins modulate signaling responses by activation of alternative pathways by promoting interactions between various signaling proteins by recruit cytoplasmic structural and signaling to initiate signal transduction, if they have no intrinsic enzymatic activity. Adaptor proteins modulate signaling responses by mediating specific protein–protein interactions that drive the formation of protein complexes through recruitment and interaction of proteins. Adaptor proteins if have no intrinsic enzymatic activity instead have protein-binding domains that form large signaling complexes containing specific proteins for signal transduction....
